The mountains were particularly clear this morning, which enhanced the sense of their grandeur. Yet on this occasion and others, I don’t feel my photographs capture their immensity. But I believe a painting would. This says something on having to exaggerate, if you will, in order to be more accurate—artists, including poets, know this? But when poets know this, some know to second-guess the effect… if I continue writing in this vein I might get into trouble. Let’s just say, I had a wonderful walk today!
